I am very sorry to see this review, especially after the amount of work and care we put into this project. I am a woman, a mother, and the owner of a small construction business. I am currently going through a divorce and doing everything I can to keep my business afloat while raising my child. English is not my first language, so I work especially hard to communicate clearly, personally supervise our projects, listen carefully to customer concerns, and resolve issues peacefully and professionally whenever possible. Throughout most of this project, the customers were friendly with us and appeared pleased with the progress. We received compliments about how the house was looking. The ladder mentioned in the review was voluntarily offered to our crew by the customer, and there was no specific daily arrival or departure time established in our written contract. This project involved an older home with existing wood siding. After pressure washing, substantial areas of old paint were found to be peeling and failing, which required significantly more scraping, sanding, and preparation than the light preparation originally included in the scope. The customers were aware of the additional preparation that became necessary. We also painted the front entry door and surrounding trim as a courtesy at no additional charge. The customer asked that the project be completed within approximately one week because of upcoming travel, and our crew worked long days, including in hot weather, to complete the contracted scope within that timeframe. Unfortunately, the situation changed at the final stage of the project. After the work had been completed and documented, the remaining balance under the written contract was not paid, and a payment and workmanship dispute arose. We have preserved the written contract, project communications, invoices, and photographs taken before, during, and after the work. We dispute several factual statements made in this review, including statements concerning our tools, scheduling, and completion of the work. As a small-business owner and a mother, situations like this are extremely difficult. We depend on customers honoring written agreements just as customers depend on contractors completing the work they agree to perform. We take legitimate customer concerns seriously and always try to resolve disagreements professionally and in good faith. This matter is now being handled formally and in writing, and I sincerely hope it can be resolved without further legal proceedings. We will allow the written contract, photographs, and project documentation to speak for themselves.
