The owner, Jerzy Radka, founded this division in 1983 after his wife was diagnosed with cancer, directly related to mold in the home where she grew up. Had the folks at Wet Basement Services address a persistent water intrusion issue in our finished basement.
Nobody likes seeing water where it shouldn't be. After last winter's heavy storms, we found standing water in our finished basement. After months of anxiety, research, and preparation, we identified WBS as one of our finalists for the project, and I'm glad we did.
Jerzy was incredibly knowledgeable during his initial consultative visit and confidently identified the source of the water intrusion, then outlined a plan to address it. Right away, I felt a greater sense of peace of mind. John and Nick were an outstanding team when they arrived to perform the work. They were always prompt, efficient, professional, and friendly, and they patiently answered every question we had along the way.
By far my favorite thing about WBS was their ownership of the project from start to finish. This proved valuable almost immediately, as they were able to pivot and address mold discovered behind the finished wall rather than pausing the project while we searched for and hired a separate remediation contractor. Knowing the same team could address whatever was found behind the wall was incredibly reassuring, and the additional remediation added very little time to the overall project.
The lifetime warranty was also a significant factor. Having that protection in place provides peace of mind, and the ability to transfer the warranty to a future homeowner adds meaningful value as well.
In the end, I highly recommend this crew. Were they the lowest bid? No. Were they the best investment? I believe so. The project uncovered hidden mold and water-damaged materials, all of which were addressed as part of the work. I look forward to many years of a dry basement.

We had Wet Basement Services come out to fix a wet wall issue in our basement, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. John was our main point of contact and he was great to work with. He was professional, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain everything clearly. I am delighted to offer a review of a service that was so very professional, friendly, responsive and efficient! I had a ground water penetration problem following heavy rains. Of course my thoughts were a quick caulk and seal paint but thought I should look at a professional's thoughts. John was quick to respond and came out to look and assess. He was every bit a professional in looking over what I had, explaining and showing me what was happening and explaining the right, proper and long term solution. I had a very limited time window to get the job done that they committed to work to.Once contracted they showed up on time as promissed, worked hard and finished on time. And their price was VERY reasonable. I highly recomment Wet Basement Solutions!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our pricing is competitive and we do offer certain discounts throughout the year.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After contact with new customers regarding details of their issues we schedule a free inspection appointment. After the the inspection we write up the customers free estimate generally 1-7 business days after inspection is complete. Once the contract is signed and approved and criteria is met, we schedule the start date for the work to be started. Roughly 1-5 days after customer signing up. Most projects take 2-7 business days to complete.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Environmental science, hydrology, water table, hydrostatic pressure. General tool use, heavy equipment training (concrete saws, jack hammers).
