The owner, Jerzy Radka, founded this division in 1983 after his wife was diagnosed with cancer, directly related to mold in the home where she grew up. Embarking on a personal mission to help families realize the dangers of mold and the importance of addressing mold growth before it leads to serious health consequences, Jerzy created EWA, a one-of-a-kind PERMANENT mold-control system.
Wet Basement Services begins with stopping water problems, but the work doesn’t stop there… WBS addresses the real threat posed by un-abated water problems: mold and decay!
Jerzy realizes the importance of permanent mold control and wants to help as many families as possible avoid mold-related health tragedies – not only through his services but also through education and awareness. The WBS website provides a variety of educational materials. We had Wet Basement Services come out to fix a wet wall issue in our basement, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. John was our main point of contact and he was great to work with. He was professional, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain everything clearly. He answered all of my questions and addressed every concern without rushing.The team handled both the water remediation and the wall replacement, and the quality of the work was solid. The crew was clean, tidy, and respectful of our space. I am delighted to offer a review of a service that was so very professional, friendly, responsive and efficient! I had a ground water penetration problem following heavy rains. Of course my thoughts were a quick caulk and seal paint but thought I should look at a professional's thoughts. John was quick to respond and came out to look and assess. He was every bit a professional in looking over what I had, explaining and showing me what was happening and explaining the right, proper and long term solution. I had a very limited time window to get the job done that they committed to work to.Once contracted they showed up on time as promissed, worked hard and finished on time. And their price was VERY reasonable. I highly recomment Wet Basement Solutions!

I highly recommend Wet Basement Services. They not only do a great job, they are reliable, knowledgeable, and offer a personal touch.My basement flooded twice in early November. There were multiple non-obvious issues that they helped me diagnose, with both a short term fix (installing a new pump) and a long term fix (installing a drain system in my basement). There were some particular things about my situation that made both of these non-trivial and they figured stuff out, communicated well, showed up promptly, and worked hard to get things finished.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our pricing is competitive and we do offer certain discounts throughout the year.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After contact with new customers regarding details of their issues we schedule a free inspection appointment. After the the inspection we write up the customers free estimate generally 1-7 business days after inspection is complete. Once the contract is signed and approved and criteria is met, we schedule the start date for the work to be started. Roughly 1-5 days after customer signing up. Most projects take 2-7 business days to complete.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Environmental science, hydrology, water table, hydrostatic pressure. General tool use, heavy equipment training (concrete saws, jack hammers).
