- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We try do do as much of our work as possible on a fixed fee basis, so that the owner knows what they are paying up front & feels like every time they pick up the phone they are getting more value for what they are paying. Our fees range from 5% to 12% of construction cost, depending on the type of project & the scope of services
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Here's my one kernel of wisdom: It costs money, time, and effort to design and build a good house. Ironically, it takes a lot of money, time, and effort to design a crappy one too. The difference between the two outcomes is the experience, discretion & ability of the person steering the ship. That's the key choice that homeowners need to make.
