FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
After you provide some basic information about your project and we have an inital phone call we can provide a project fee proposal. For many projects, in particular renovations or projects with challenging sites, a site visit is highly encouraged prior to providing a proposal. This allows us to meet in person and discuss the project and it allows us to gather more information on the existing conditions we are working with. Initial site visits are free if you are located 30 minutes or less from our office. If you are located 30 - 60 minutes from our office a $300 site visit fee applies. If you are located 1 -2 hours away a $500 site visit fee applies. Site visits greater than 2 hours away have a full day fee of $1,100. For sites that are further away we offer virtual site visits for free. For our project fees we offer two different pricing models - hourly and fixed fee. Fixed fee is good for projects with known and well defined parameters. Hourly is good for projects that are more open ended. Hourly can also be good for clients who are focused and can make quick and clear decisions as they can drive down the number of hours required for a project.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We have an initial meeting to make sure we are a good fit for each other in terms of timeline, budget, project type, and project needs. Once it is established that we are a good fit for each other then we sign a contract and the client pays a deposit for me to start work. We then have periodic meetings, approximately once or twice a month, as the project progresses to make sure we're on the right track.
