Mona is a fantastic photographer. There is so much I could say about my experiences with her that it's hard to get it all down, so I'll start at the beginning. She is always a consummate professional. She arrives on time, prepared for the shoot, and works hard to get good pictures. She was fantastic with my kids, and managed to get many amazing shots even as my children ran around, got dirty, and basically did everything they could to make it hard to photograph! Her pictures came out beautifully. In fact, almost all of my framed photographs of my family have been taken by Mona Makela.
In addition to using her services to photograph my family, I've also had the pleasure of working with her to obtain pictures for several professional projects, including a website and a charity event. Those photographs were also outstanding and delivered quickly in multiple electronic and hard copy formats. The charity event was a silent auction, which required Mona to photograph several dozen items in a relatively short period of time. Her work in this event was invaluable and her photography and marketing work added a huge value to the event. She has a remarkable eye for shape, color, and light, and when given creative freedom, she is able to produce work that I could only dream about had I not used her services.
Mona Makela is a phenomenal photographer, an inspiring creative talent, and the type of professional worker that is difficult to find. I would recommend her services to anyone, and look forward to the chance to work with her again.

I felt very comfortable & at ease with Mona, this made the photo shoot a pleasant experience. She was extremely accommodating on a location, the poses, different clothing... She understood the professional image I was trying to express with my photo. She was caring & professional. The finished product was more than what I had hoped for, it turn out perfect. I plan to use her in the future for some family photos.

We hired Mona to take some 'before' and 'after' exterior photos of a home our business was hired to repaint, and she did a fantastic job. She's terrific to work with, and we were very pleased with the results. We definitely would hire her again.

I am a dog trainer working in a highly competitive field. I needed the right photograph that made my brand unique. Mona turned up early I told her what I wanted and went to work. I was extremely pleased with the shots, they were excatly what I wanted, not a chocolate box cutesy dog photo but a photo that spoke of how I work with animals, if you want someone different and who thinks outside the box and sees the image before its taken then Mona Makela is your photographer.

My best description of Mona is a dynamo. The experience I shared with her was during a fund-raising event to help build our community organization. While she was instrumental in the whole operation, the stand out skill for me is her photographic record of the event. Not only did she work tirelessly to organize the fund-raiser, she staged the restaurant where it took place as well as the auction items.
The photographs were outstanding. They were uploaded to our website and helped to garner further attention for our efforts. Mona is a highly professional person and I would not hesitate to recommend her for your photographic needs
