We certainly had a misunderstanding at this Event! I was originally booked from 7 - 11 pm for this Reception, and the Bride asked if I could start at 6:30, which I joyfully accommodated. I misunderstood that the clients expected that I would still perform until 11. At 10:30, I told the Bride & Groom that we were wrapping up and if there was anything they'd still like to hear or that I could play for them. They both said No. I played a few more songs to wind things down, as the majority of the Guests had departed already. We then started breaking down. After we were completely unplugged, the Bride approached me, upset that I had stopped playing. Upon realizing our miscommunication, I apologized and offered to plug back in, which I could do in less than 2 minutes, and continue playing. At this point, she walked away from me, and I followed her to try to remedy this situation. I again offered to continue playing. She stated there was no point, since I had stopped 15 minutes previously. I apologized again, and offered to give her a Discount on her fee. She refused and told me to leave. I feel that we could have remedied this situation at that time, but unfortunately, the Bride was inconsolable. I am saddened that this misunderstanding happened. Please rest assured that this was an isolated event.
