FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
To this I would simply refer you to my packages and pricing page on my site Lovesevents. This is easy and clear to understand. It is crafted to provide a better value the more components a person utilizes and represents a fabulous overall value.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
It has now evolved to an average of two consultations, some emailing and phoning back and forth, facilitating a rehearsal and then continuing on from officiating the ceremony to being the DJ and reception emcee to the end of the evening. This is fun for me, and provides the best value for couples. The other common type of job is just meeting the couple, witnesses and perhaps a few more at an agreed location and performing a simple ceremony with very little lead time or planning. There's a special kind of fulfillment from both ends of the spectrum and I enjoy the diversity.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
It really seems that I was pulled into it, slowly and incrementally over time. While I loved counseling and pastoral care, hospice and hospital visitations and generally working with people, I never thought I wanted to perform weddings. Until that fateful day when a dear friend asked me to perform hers. She was like a sister and I knew I just had to do it; I was happy and delighted to do this special favor for her, once. The experience was beyond anything I could have anticipated and I discovered that facilitating the rehearsal, being an anchor for her mom, and just generally being in the flow of a dynamic energy of many different individuals all of whom were feeling different things was as natural for me as anything I'd ever done. I loved it. And yet it still took a few more special requests to light the fuse that had been sparked.
