Colleen was an awesome DJ for our wedding. She was professional and did a great job for all aspects of our wedding: the ceremony, cocktail hour and dinner, and then had everyone on the dance floor! So happy we chose Side Hustle for our special day!Nov 12, 2019Verified
We had a last minute pivot and were not able to work with her in our event, but working with Colleen was wonderful. She was extremely professional and was very responsive. I would highly recommend her for anyone looking for a DJ.Aug 27, 2018Verified
Colleen was an amazing DJ! She specially curated her playlist to really capture the feeling of the event. She also made sure to meet with us to make sure she understood logistics- theme, timing, set up, location, etc. Overall great communication! I felt confident on the day of the event, because I knew Colleen was so on top of it! Highly recommend!!!Oct 27, 2019
Awesome DJ, Great Colleague: Colleen was a wonderful DJ. She was communicative before, during, and after the wedding. She provided thoughtful notes regarding processional music, asked important questions regarding logistics & timing, and interacted with other vendors in a positive and friendly manner. She had the guests dancing all night, generated an awesome party atmosphere, and facilitated a surprise rap performance by the Bride. Colleen was great to work with and we look forward to collaborating again!Jun 27, 2019
The music that DJ Side Hustle provided for The Seattle Design Festival Opening Night Party at The Collective was above par. She transformed a co-working space into a popping party. The crown was hanging on to her every track. Additionally, her professionalism made the lead up to the event a breeze. I am so thankful when an artist presents themselves in a manner of reliability and alertness. Colleen, goes above and beyond to deliver this for her clients. 5-stars.Sep 8, 2018
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? Many variables are considered when determining my price including your budget! Let me know what your needs are and I'll be happy to discuss flexible pricing with you!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I will work with you to create the ideal playlist for your occasion. I am happy to work via email, phone or meet in person to discuss the details of my service (including equipment needs) and discover what your musical interests are. From there, I will build a set list that matches a timeline and share it with you to review and edit. I will continue to communicate leading up to the day of the event and will be ready to go for the agreed upon date and time!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I studied music at Bennington College ('12) in Vermont. In addition to DJing in Seattle, I am also the percussionist for the Seattle Ladies Choir and have been playing the drums for 18 years. My love of music spans my whole life and my training benefits me in my work as a DJ. I have a discerning ear for song selection and my personal taste is very eclectic. This allows me to look at each event as a unique opportunity to make the perfect, custom playlist that fits your needs.
