Very happy with our experience! We have an 11 month old Husky/Aussie, Harvey, who was getting to be too much to handle. Our trainer Danny with his experience training K-9 units was exactly what we needed. He's great with Harvey and helping us learn proper training techniques. After the 3 week board and train Harvey is like a new dog. He's attentive and very well behaved. Even his game of fetch has drastically improved! It was hard letting our pup go for 3 weeks, but it was well worth it!Oct 30, 2019Verified
We loved having Ana Maria. She could read Mia from day 1. Mia is doing so much better. We will continue to use Head up Dog training for group classes. Highly recommend!Apr 24, 2019

My husband and I are so happy we found Ana, she is more than amazing. We have a Chihuahua mix, her name is Nora and had a few problems. From the beginning Nora hated the crate and when I mean hated, I mean cried, screamed, barked scratched and there was nothing that would stop her. She would pull and jump while on her leash, was so afraid of cars when they went by that it would paralize her, barked at people and dogs, but Nora is the most loveable doggie I have ever met, she just wants love. When I started looking for trainers they all just did the basic things and we knew Nora needed more. When we found Ana we met up with her (she drove to us, which not many do) she saw that Nora was just very insecure and such a good dog and did some walkimg with Nora and my husband and I knew there and then that she was the one, Nora followed her commands and in just that simple introduction we need she could help us with Nora. We did the boarding and training, she sent us videos and pictures of our little one and we got to see the progress Nora had in just 1 week and half!!! Nora now sleeps very well in her crate with no barking or crying, follows commands while on a walk, is not afraid of cars that pass by, doesn't bark at other people, is more calm at home and listens to commands, we are still working on socializing with other dogs but it is nowhere near how bad it was before .We still do lessons with her and we area doing the group classes to learn more. We have another Chihuahua Ollie who will be training with Ana as well. Ana cares so much and you can tell the dogs love her because she trully loves the dogs she trains!!! Hire her, it will be the best decision for you and your doggy.Jun 1, 2019

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Evaluations are free, and the prices for my other programs are listed on my website. My most popular programs are listed here: Advanced private lessons: $1100 or $1300 in-home 3 Week Board and Train: $2900 Service Dogs: $2900 for obedience, task training starting at $2500 Please ask about military or first responders discounts or funding possibilities if you’re interested in a service dog. I occasionally have sales, follow my social media to keep up with it!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Usually, I set up an evaluation first. Based on the evaluation I suggest to my client what programs might fit best for their dogs. It’s a client has signed up for training, I schedule lessons on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. If you’ve opted for the more popular board and train program, I pick up dogs at the beginning of the month and do one on one lessons with the owners at the end of each week. Lessons continue after the dog has gone home, or if you feel like you’re prepared enough with our first three lessons, you can bank your other three lessons for training in the future if needed.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I attended the Tom Rose school for professional Dog Trainers.
