Introduction: We offer private drum and percussion lessons. Listen to some of the kinds of music we can teach.
One-on-one instruction is the best method used for special learning interests or needs, as well as for a focused and intense course of study, even in overcoming personal issues such as discomfort or shyness in large groups.
If you belong into one of these group, or just would simply like learning at your own pace, fast or slow, then personalized and private instruction is the way to go.
Private lessons are generally half-hour or one-hour long, and consist of exercises and foundation concepts to develop your coordination, rhythm, mechanical independence, sense of time, and speed.
Speed in drumming is a result of good training and technique. The first step in developing your skill as a drummer is to establish good technique no matter what the course of study is.
Independence is the ability to carry out numerous rhythmic tasks at once: voice, hands, and feet. Your musicianship level is directly related to your ability to do independent work.
Private instruction is available for all or any of the following instruments:
* Drum kit
* Timbales
* Ashiko
* Bata
* Bongos
* Congas
* Cajon
* Djembe
