Just an FYI for those of you considering Great Northwest Electric. I did not hire this company because of a lack of responsiveness to the established contact made with the company via text. After the appointment was set-up, I had follow-up questions and sent pictures of the job. No response. Even though this is Thumbtack, I do expect some level of courtesy, responsiveness and professionalism. The lack of all three gave me enough pause to wonder what the work would be like so I cancelled the appointment. To which, there was a response! A passive aggressive response one but a response. Customer service isn't a strong suite so if that is important to you and the people you let into your home, look elsewhere.

I am sorry you had such a bad experience with us. The person that is monitoring our thumbtack leads and incoming calls is not an electrician. She is unable to provide any information regarding price, work needed, or anything other than to make an appointment for you. She often asks me to provide an estimate when people ask, but I generally won't. It's just too difficult to do with the little information I have from this app.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We are not the cheapest you can find online, but our rates are pretty standard for other legitimate companies in the industry.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I walk the job, then work up the estimate for them. If it’s a job that can be done in a few days or less, we start right then and there. Larger projects take more time to estimate, and more involved scheduling.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
A 5 year union apprenticeship. That’s 5 years of schooling, and working under the supervision of a journeyman. Then I sat for my state test. I have required CEU’s to keep up my license. I also have my administrators license, enabling me be the administrator Great Northwest Electric. It was a 7 hour test!
