Rita is very professional and very thorough. She goes over the basics with you until she is absolutely certain you can do them perfectly. She teaches lot of very small, subtle things that other trainers might not teach you. Some reviewer's said that they thought it was too much and she moved to slowly. I completely disagree.
She will tell you upfront that she is going to spend time on the basics. Unless you're already an excellent rider just wanting some brush up training on certain things, then the basics cover a lot more than you probably have learned before and may seem pedantic. It's not!!!
If you've never ridden or are a relatively new rider and or, like me, haven't ridden for 20 years, she is the perfect instructor for you. I found her training method to be nothing short of amazing. I have had trainers before and none of them taught me some of the very basic things that she did. It made my riding 100% better.
She can be "snappy" (abrupt, almost yelling) but has a kind heart. If she says something snappy to you, it is always because you are doing something wrong that will either hurt the horse and/or hurt your training. If you can't handle people yelling at you and/or getting angry with you, then she is not the trainer for you.
If you already know the basics, she will review them with you make sure she is satisfied. If you want to skip the basics and/or move fast through the training so that you're finally jumping or whatever your goal is, then she is probably not the trainer for you. It will take you a few lessons, minimum, before she'll let you do anything more than ride around the ring.
If you're interested in being an excellently trained rider, however, she is the person you want to train you. I trust her completely and I know that my horsemanship improved exponentially under her training.
