Introduction: For the last decade, I've found myself in some incredible and remote places. I started using my camera to try and tell a story, whether it be the wind swept landscapes while guiding in wild Patagonia, teaching ski in beautiful British Columbia, cruising the streets of La Paz Bolivia or the high deserts of Northern Chile. I tried my best to capture the essence of these places. Through photography, my friends and family could understand and appreciate the beauty of where I traveled. What started as my way of capturing the wild corners of North and South America, has turned into my passion and work. Born and raised in Chile, now I'm a Seattle photographer looking to find more stories in wild and special places.

Mati did an excellent job despite the tough working environment (the freezing cold, pandemic, etc). He was extremely professional, kept his mask on, and observed Covid19 rules and guidelines the entire time. When our preferred spot for photography was ruined by floods, he did not mind taking a drive a few miles down the road to a better location. He was creative, engaging and professional the whole time. Despite the cold, Mati was patient, understanding and passionate with his work. He was involved in every shot, coming up with creative angles, ideas, and suggestions. The final work can only be described as a masterpiece. I HIGHLY recommend Mati to any client out there looking for a photographer that actually cares about his clients and is willing to be extra just to get the perfect shot on their special day! Mati is a fantastic professional and a great guy! He helped my fiance and I find the perfect spot for outdoorsy, natural engagement pictures, and really captured our relationship in his photos. He was super flexible, accommodating both our schedules and the weather, and willing to go the extra mile to make us comfortable and get a good shot. We also got an extremely quick turnaround on our pictures and all for a very reasonable price.

Matias was awesome with the whole deal of my surprise engagement. He helped me figure out a good way to propose and scouted to find the perfect spot. Even when we got locked in the park together and our time was cut short he cut a deal for another free print. I would 100% recommend Matias.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We meet (preferably), discuss throughly what they want, their vision and how could I approach their expectations realistically.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have taken workshops like Event photography and e-courses for software editing but t nothing beat s the countless hours of being out to gain experience.. Trial and error.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Some years ago I got my first camera (Lumix), I started with landscapes and then with people but I wanted to get more depth and sharpness in my photos so I moved into my first Dslr. After my first gigs I knew this is what I wanted to do.
