I didn't hire Topaz, so this is just a review on the estimate and sales pitch by one of their people, Shawn. He was personable and friendly, we had great conversations or discussing the project , but their problems began after he gave me their estimate.
After getting the initial quote, I told him I would think about it and get back to him. The price was 50% higher than anything else I received so I was out comfortable with that. Shawn would not take no for an answer. He kept on moving the price down if I would sign immediately to begin the work next week.
I never signed contracts immediately because they want to weigh things out and not make an emotional decision. The salesman would not leave until I had physically walked away from him and close the door, still he hung around another 10 minutes and even came back to try to get me to finance the deck.
The only thing I can relate this to is a timeshare sales pitch, high pressure and offering immediate deals that will not be be available later. I will not be pushed into signing contract when I'm not comfortable. I have never left a negative review from getting an estimate, until now.

We recently had our bathroom completely remodeled by Topaz Remodeling, and we couldn’t be happier with the results! From start to finish, the experience was seamless and stress-free. Shalev and John were absolutely amazing,professional, communicative, and truly dedicated to making sure everything turned out perfectly.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We offer great reasonable pricing for all of our services. We have monthly promotions that vary, please reach out to find out what they are this month!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start with a minimum of one-hour free-in person consultation to learn about your project, goals, and schedule. Then we provide a detailed estimate and help with planning, design, and material selection if needed.
Once everything’s approved, we agree on an accepted schedule our team and the work can be started.Then we keep you updated throughout the entire process with messages,pictures,and in person project management 5x days a week. After completion, we do a final walkthrough to ensure you're 100% satisfied and pick up the final payment.
Our goal is to make your remodeling experience smooth, transparent, and successful from start to finish.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
At Topaz Remodeling Inc., our training comes from generations of hands-on experience. Our journey began with my father, who learned the trade by working alongside his father in Israel, gaining real-world construction skills from a young age. He later brought that experience to California, where he founded Topaz Remodeling nearly 19 years ago.
We’ve continued that tradition, learning the craft directly in the field — from framing and finish work to full remodels — by working closely with experienced professionals. Over time, we’ve combined this deep, hands-on training with continued learning in building codes, safety practices, and modern remodeling techniques to ensure every project meets the highest standards.
Our knowledge comes from decades of doing the work — not just studying it and it shows in every job we complete.
