FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
At NU Curations, I’ve designed my pricing to be as transparent as the designs themselves. My goal is to give you total confidence before you spend a dime on construction. The 3-Step Investment Plan: The Free Discovery (0$): We start with a complimentary 30-minute design consultation to see if we’re a fit. The On-Site Strategy ($200): I visit your home to assess the space and define your vision. Note: This fee is fully waived once you move forward with the project. The Full Curation: Whether it's a kitchen remodel or a full-home furniture selection, you’ll receive a comprehensive proposal covering space planning, material selections, and lighting. The Result: You get a cohesive, well-designed space without the stress of "winging it." You aren't just paying for paint and wallpaper choices; you are paying for the peace of mind that every finish and floor plan has been curated for your specific lifestyle.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Homeowners want a beautiful space but are terrified of the chaos that usually comes with a renovation. I’ve eliminated the guesswork with a simple 3-step plan designed to keep you in control and at ease from day one: Step 1: The Discovery Call We start with a low-pressure Zoom or phone call. This is where we get to know each other, discuss your vision, and align on your budget. It’s about making sure your goals and my expertise are a perfect match. Step 2: The Custom Design Proposal Once I understand your needs, I’ll provide a comprehensive roadmap. This isn't just a quote, it's a detailed plan that outlines the exact scope of work, your project timeline, and a clear breakdown of estimated costs. No surprises, just clarity. Step 3: The Curated Transformation With the plan in place, I take the lead. I manage the details, collaborate with the builders, and curate the finishes while you watch your vision come to life. The Result: You bypass the stress of project management and step directly into a home that feels like a curated reflection of your story.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Your home is likely your largest investment, and you shouldn't trust it to someone who is just playing with paint colors. To ensure I provide my clients with professional-grade results and technical precision, I earned my Certification in Interior Design from the Heritage School of Interior Design in Seattle. This training provided me with the technical foundation in: 1. Space Planning & Drafting: Ensuring your room doesn't just look good, but actually functions for your daily life. 2. Color Theory & Lighting: Creating a cohesive mood that shifts beautifully from morning to night. 3. Construction Oversight: Understanding the "bones" of a home so I can speak the same language as your contractors and builders. I combine this formal education with a deep passion for craftsmanship, giving you a partner who is both creatively inspired and technically grounded.
