Life Cycle Famliy Counseling

Introduction: I am a licensed marriage and family therapist with two locations: one in Seattle and the other in Issaquah. I work with individuals, couples and families with the goal of improving strained relationships. Many times, couples hit a flat spot or crisis (i.e. affairs) and need help to negotiate difficult times, and people generally love having a well-trained third party who does not take sides, so each person feels heard and valued. I also love working with adolescents and their parents, knowing that in stressful times, new parenting skills and teens go hand in hand. One of my specialties is working with LGBT relational issues and how they intersect with gay spirituality. I have published a book on the topic and often present seminars on this issue. Individuals suffering from depression and anxiety disorders have also found my work with them to be extremely helpful and leave my office feeling better. My clients love working with me and find me very engaging and warm, rather than cold and clinical because I am interested in the whole person, not just on one single issue. I believe that the therapeutic relationship between a client and a therapist is one of the key ingredients for successful outcomes. After receiving the help they needed, many clients return to work with me when a new issue present themselves at a later date.
