Hired on Thumbtack
Ryan messaged promptly when I posted the project and said he can get work done next week right away and would get me a quote next day. A week passed and I had to follow up for an ack that they even got my pictures. Followed up on emails and then phone again. they were definitely courteous but told me he had 7 projects, starting a new division etc. and couldn't respond to my emails, so I asked him "why would you say you have time and you can get a quote, or why even respond in thumbtack and tell me you can work next week right away?", they then promised a quote by Saturday and I have not heard from them yet
My advice, don't quote on thumbtack if you cannot even do the work or quote in the first place and drag/mislead customers. It wastes our time and your time and doesn't reflect good on you.
