It is soooo hard to find contractors that show up as scheduled and perform work as agreed and KT did just that. Scheduled over the phone, recd confirmation the day prior as well when on way to job site. Work was completed as discussed and I could not be happier. Invoice was sent/ paid via e mail. Without question I will use them in the future and would highly recommend them for any electrical needs!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
At KT Electrical Contractors, we start by connecting with you to discuss your project’s needs, goals, and expectations. From there, we provide a free estimate and projected timeline so you know what to expect before making any decisions.
Once you have all the information you need, the choice is entirely yours as to if and when you’d like to move forward. We believe in providing clear communication, honest guidance, and a no-pressure experience, allowing you to make the best decision for your home or business.
Our goal is to make the process simple, transparent, and stress-free from the very first conversation to the completion of your project.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In Washington State, becoming a licensed journeyman electrician—officially called a General Journey Level Electrician (01)—requires a combination of classroom education, supervised on-the-job training, and passing a state certification exam.
The requirements are established by the Washington State Department of Labor & Industries (L&I).
Education and training requirements:
1. Classroom education
Complete at least 96 hours of approved basic classroom instruction covering electrical theory, the National Electrical Code (NEC), and related electrical requirements.
2. Apprenticeship and work experience
Complete an approved 8,000-hour electrical apprenticeship, generally about four years of full-time work and training. At least 4,000 hours must involve new commercial or industrial electrical installations.
3. State certification exam
Once the education and experience requirements are met and documented, apply to take the Washington L&I journey-level electrician exam and pass it to obtain your certification.
