Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I am also a house sitter, and many pet sitters expect you to bring the pets to their own home, and won't sit in the clients house. I provide quality care and individualized attention. It's not a job... it's a joy. Meeting all kinds of people and making connections. Taking care of a wide variety of animals. The variety, and no day or job is the same. And it's fun!

My cats took to Lisa immediately. This is the first time I have come home that my cat that struggles to eat when I am gone ate all of his food. She clearly has a love for animals and they love her in return. She very responsive and professional. I will be calling the Critter Sitter anytime I have to leave town. Thank you so much for taking such great care of my fur babies.

Details: Cat • 2 pets • Giving food and water • Changing litter or bedding • Dispensing medication • Providing exercise • Short visit (30 minutes) • Two times a day • My home, venue, etc.

When I first moved to Spokane, I did not have many friends here at the time, but I needed a cat sittter for the holidays. I ended up throwing a large net on Thumbtack to find someone. This was when I was fortunate to find Lisa. When I met her in person, her enthusiasm for animals and pet-sitting was so eminent that I was confident in her ability to take care of my cat. Like most pet owners, my cat is like my daughter. Lisa provided me frequent updates on her visits and my cat to calm my nerves while I was away. As a person, Lisa is passionate, trustworthy, and kind. Therefore, it is my upmost pleasure to highly recommend her.

When Lisa came to meet Lucy and go over instructions, Lucy immediately went to her so I was confident she is a cat person. Lisa gave me two reports while I was away and and sent a final report after I returned. I put out brushes and an apron so Lisa could brush Lucy -- her coat feels so nice without winter coat shedding.

Details: Cat • 1 pet • Changing litter or bedding • Providing companionship • Giving food and water • Standard visit (60 minutes) • The pet sitter travels to me

The Critter Sitter's reply
Thank you so much Colleen for the wonderful review! I really enjoyed caring for Lucy. I look forward to caring for her again. Thank you very much.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Yes. It starts at 50, usually, for one pet. Each additional pet is 5 dollars more each (excluding fish.. a fish tank counts as one pet) It costs extra for outside watering, as that can take a lot of time. There are a few factors that would cost extra as well, such as special needs (a pet who needs medication etc).

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I would meet with the potential client, and their pets. See how the pets respond to me. And interview to see if both sides fit each others needs. I pay alot of attention to their pets, so they have a chance to get comfortable around me and used to me.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I'm considering taking some puppy training classes, and I'm going to take a Red Cross Pet First Aid Course soon.
