FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We believe that pricing should be transparent! Many photographers will only reveal part of their prices through what they call their session or creative fees and then insist that you come back for a high pressure in-person reveal, where you are pressured in the heat of the moment to perhaps spend wild sums of money to get your photos. We believe that this method is manipulative and preys on impulse buying and emotional vulnerability. We do not support this sales method, instead we choose to be 100% transparent with our pricing. While we will offer an in-person reveal upon request, we typically deliver your proofs via a private online gallery and let you take your time to make your choices. We always deliver exactly what we offer in our packages without any hidden fees. We offer packages that fit anyone's budget and are more than happy to offer payment plans though Square.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When you arrive we'll take a few minutes to take care of any remaining paperwork and last minute details of your session and go over any special photo requests or needs you have, and then get shooting! Before your session we'll have a phone consultation where we will discuss exactly what your needs and expectations are for your photos. When you arrive at our studio we will do lots of different poses, backgrounds. We'll try to keep things relaxed, talk about you and your family, and try not to make it all about posing or stiff smiles. We like to capture the candid moments just as much as the smiling-at-the-camera moments. We're happy to accommodate any fun posing ideas you have, or any props you’d like to incorporate. At the end of the session, we'll answer any last questions and then we’re all finished!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm a self taught photographer. While I have no formal education in the field, I've been photographing people of all walks of life since elementary school.
