- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am continuously reading, watching videos, and am out in the field working on new techniques and trying new gear. I'd like to think that if I add up all the time I have spent reading/practicing new techniques, shooting alongside amazing photographers, and attending seminars and classes, that I would have a Master's degree by now!
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I got started with this work when my husband bought me my first DSLR about 7 years ago. I kept taking my 1 year old daughter into the mall stores to get her pictures done. Little did he know, that he would start an obsession! From there I was constantly shooting, reading articles, attending photography club meetings, and just disappearing into the woods for a while!
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I tend to shoot everything. I love the art of photography itself, so when a chance presents itself, I take it! I love clients who bring new and fresh ideas to the table. We constantly try to capture what makes them special and unique! I have waded in river beds to get unique engagement shots, spent time out in the pouring rain to setup lighting so that the bride can get that shot she yearned for, or hiked up waterfalls with my gear to capture the special area the family loves to visit!
