Well the quote was awesome, he was the lowest out of all the quotes and very knowledgeable, he came in and did the flooring and baseboards, he was quick and efficient, I wish I could have given him an extra star :)

Stan, the owner of Excellent Floors, had the knowledge and the skills that everyone wants their floor contractor to have. He installed new engineered hardwood floors in my condo. Stan was very prepared and his work was meticulous and beautiful. I recently moved here to Portland and was nervous as to who to hire to do the floors. I am sort of a perfectionist and I do my homework before having any work done. I don't give raving reviews easily but in this case I have to say that I did not find any negatives about the quality of Stan's work, his work habits or professionalism in general. Overall, very sound experience. Communication was excellent and appointments always on time. Very accommodating and flexible in schedule and rescheduling and most importantly flexible in last-minute changes. I also appreciate them raising issues or expectations before they proceed with a particular section of the job so that I can decide how to compromise or pivot. In other words, they make you feel like you are part of the team. The icing on the cake is they helped me move back my furniture into the finished room, gladly, even the heavy ones. Very happy with the finished product.

Had a soundproof underlay and hardwood floor laid. I had ordered an insufficient amount of flooring and he had to do the job with a week delay. Was very willing to work with me and did excellent work.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Id first like to talk to my customer to find out what they are looking for and give them advice. I will come out and give the customer a estimate. If the customer has already picked the floor they would like then we proceed to next step, if not I will help my customer choose the best floor for them. Next I will reach out to my customer and schedule for install. Lastly, I will come out with my soonest availability to install the new floors.
