Introduction

I am a private tutor specializing in math up to and including Calculus, Statistics, Chemistry, Physics and test preparation (SAT Math, ACT Math, CLEP (math sections) and GRE Quantitative Reasoning). I'm also available for AP tutoring. I will come to your home, or a public location of your choice, and I also offer Zoom tutoring. I pride myself on delivering a results-oriented tutoring solution for your child or yourself at a reasonable cost. I believe learning should be fun, and I work hard to make the tutoring experience a pleasurable and rewarding one. I have tutored over 80 students since 2015, and I've helped many of them raise their test scores and their school grades. I also have experience working with students with mild to moderate learning challenges, and I've had success with this type of student.

I bill a flat rate per hour.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Each client is different, yet typically we just jump right in with the subject matter and over time the best process for working together comes into focus.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was an actuary for over 20 years before becoming a tutor. In that role, I was asked to handle staff training which is when I started to realize I had a talent for teaching. Beyond that, it's been on-the-job training. I've worked with over 80 students since 2015 and have a feel for what types of personalities and/or learning styles people have.
