Excellent, across the board. Very pleased with the service and final product. Couldn't be happier. I hired Markon Brands to fix and finalize my company website. Originally I had hired another web designer to do this, but met only with foot dragging, mediocre product, and in the end a request for more money to finish it. Out of frustration, I turned to Thumbtack and found these folks. They were very friendly, helpful. And quick. They greatly improved my website, added extras and helpful suggestions, and were a pleasure to work with. To top it off, I also view their services as an excellent value for the dollars spent. No joke, if you're looking for professional web design and marketing, look no further than this group. They can do the job quickly and are easy to work with, and their final product will exceed your expectations. Doubly so if you're a smaller company with a limited budget. Unfortunately I cannot speak highly of the experience. The designer was defensive, unprofessional and the work that was presented contained errors and often ignored what I had requested. Unfortunately what they presented missed the mark. It felt like they treated the project as an assembly line of limited possibilities that they were trying to rush through. Unfortunately, we were not able to finish this project because the client never provided access to her Squarespace account and didn't want to make the changes that she hired us to make. We were left between a rock and a hard place because of the client's odd behavior and ultimately decided it was best for both parties to cancel the project. We agree that this was a disappointing experience and have invited this client to email us at email@example.com to discuss further. We wish her the best in the future!
I'm still working with them (so the end product is TBD), but thus far they've been great! In particular, they've been SO responsive and on top of communication. They never leave me hanging, and given that I have a tight deadline, this level of contact is really reassuring. They're super professional, friendly, and talented. I feel like I'm in good hands. Markon was recommend to me by a friend to help with the branding and website for our new company. Kristine and Micheal were amazing through the entire process. I explained to them exactly what I was looking for, they listened asked a lot of questions and NAILED IT! Through out the entire process they were very accommodating, patient and had a can do attitude, there was nothing they couldn't do. The website they built for us is perfect incorporating tools to help grow our real estate business and making all of my ideas and needs for the business met. They always kept me on track and pushed me along to keep the project moving. They also helped with our business cards in which turned out amazing and I have sent them multiple people who have asked me who designed them. They made the process so easy from the start. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?We design exclusively on the Squarespace platform to keep costs down for our clients. All expenses are very transparent and all-inclusive. Design fees paid to us cover our time setting up, styling and taking care of back-end details for your site; hosting and platform costs are paid directly to Squarespace although we are happy to set that up for our clients.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?We will begin with an introductory phone call (or video call, if that is your style!) where we can learn more about the project goals and decide if we are a good fit to work together. The next step will be for us to send a detailed proposal based on the project scope discussed. Once approved by the client, we will send over a simple contract covering terms and a link for payment. At this point, we may ask for more information (copy or photos/graphics for your website, for example) or we jump on another call to hammer out any other details together. Our design team is always just a phone call or email away if you need to provide more info or ask questions!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Our team of 6 includes people with degrees in everything from communications to marketing and from business administration to entrepreneurship. Together, we have countless years of experience in the design, marketing, communication and business fields. Continuing education is a substantial value of our agency, and in 2017 we attended events all over the country to further our knowledge on everything from SEO to design trends to what's coming down the pipe next at Google. In short, we love our industry and are continually learning more!
