Nicole groomed my long hair cat, Bella. She got rid of the mats and gave her a bath. Even though Bella is anxious around other people, she did fine with Nicole. I use her service again!Aug 8, 2019Verified
Nicole did a wonderful job on our kitty. Our cat is 14 years and not fond of grooming. Our cat wasn't stressed out and she looks beautiful. She's a happy customer.Sep 26, 2018Verified
Nicole took on the challenge of grooming our cats, one that had never had the experience before. She did a wonderful job giving one a lion cut! I never knew just how tiny she was underneath all of her hair. Nicole really had her work cut out for her! Very affordable and convenient since she came to us! I knew my cats were both cared for during her time with them. Thank you Nicole!May 2, 2017Verified
First time my son's long hair cat was groomed at 6 years old, he was a rescue. Nicole did a great job! Prompt, professional and handled him well. He looks great and feels so soft. Love her mobile grooming service. Would highly recommend!Apr 28, 2017Verified
Nicole arrived right on time. Our long haired cat had never been bathed before so we weren't sure how that would go. Nicole did a great job with her! The cats coat was beautiful, all mats were removed and she was perfectly calm even after her first bath experience! We will definitely use Paws for Effect Grooming again!May 12, 2017Verified
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Services depend on the involvement of the job and how long it takes. Factors usually depend on how long it's been since the pets last groom. Degree and severity of matting if any, degree and severity of shedding/loose coat, size of pet, degree of scissor work, and if pet is difficult wiggly or aggressive.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I appreciate an initial phone call, phone interview to better get to know you and your pet. I also use this time to find out exactly what your concerns are and exactly what services you are looking for so that I can better serve you and your pets needs. We can also use this time to book an appointment time that works for you.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I am a professional groomer I've been grooming for 10+ years. A little back story, I began as a veterinary technician after receiving my certification in 2003. I attended a four year university to get my Bachelor in Biology degree with a concentration in animal form and function and physiology. My prerequisites for veterinary school. However after my internships and volunteer with several including emergency veterinary hospitals I opted out of veterinary school and learned to groom, as I was already a bather/brusher working to pay my way through school. I hold several certificates in grooming and attend conferences and continuing grooming education each year.
