Hired on Thumbtack

I hired 4 Acre Remodeling's Dave for finishing my basement for a theater room and the bathroom. The theater room has been completed and it turned to be more than expected. He had nice ideas on how to convert waste space into usable space. The platform, which he built was exactly as expected. Also he helped me to learn things, which would be useful for my future projects. Cannot wait for the bathroom to be complete. Because of the quality of his work, I will be for sure hiring him for my future projects. Thanks Dave!

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

My pricing is very straight forward at $40.00 an hour plus material. I do offer a discount to all repeat clients.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

A great project is where a client has an idea of what they want out of space and how much they want to spend. I can then help them develop a plan that includes options to help save money or add features they hadn't thought of. We agree on the plan and a start date. I confirm the week before we start the project and often meet the client to purchase materials during this time. Once the project starts I check in with the clients regularly. I bill out on Friday for the week's time and material each week I am on the project. I welcome clients who want to learn how to do a project or desire to save money by doing some of the work themselves to work along side of me as little or as much as they want.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have over 20 years experience in the trades. I followed my father and grandfather into HVAC work and at each shop I worked in across the country I was able to also add either electrical or plumbing skills. I am a perfectionist who appreciates beautiful and functional space.
