FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My prices will be increasing in 2016 due to industry standards being higher and equipment upgrades.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am addicted to CreativeLive a website dedicated to education for creative professionals.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
When I was 14 years old I picked up my grandmas video camera. Growing up I was always shy and awkward but when I started walking around and taping people I realized I had a passport to socialization. I've always had an eye for art and always loved making videos with my friends, and one day it just clicked. I wanted to become a professional videographer. I started shooting commercials in college for different businesses. Then, when I was in my last year of college I did an internship at Volume One magazine as a videographer. When I graduated college (2013) I got a new camera and a new computer and one of my classmates was getting married and asked me to film his wedding. After that video was posted online my email inbox exploded and the rest is history. Now I shoot about 15-25 weddings per year. It's a wonderful industry to work in. Absolutely love what I do!
