FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am always taking classes to learn more and more. I've enrolled in various classes at WCTC to keep my skills sharp and to learn new things. I also attend Adobe User Groups and various seminars that I find appealing throughout the year. You can NEVER learn too much!
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I fell into what I'm doing now. In college, I started working at the school newspaper mostly because a friend got me the job. I was the "Assistant Business Manager". Eventually, I began selling ads which also meant I had to create them. It was the first time I ever designed an ad on a Mac and I fell in love!! The rest is history!
- What types of customers have you worked with?
On the graphic design side - the most COMMON types of jobs I do are ads, brochures and business materials. My most FAVORITE jobs are magazines and catalogs. The bigger and messier - the better! On the photo side - during the winter I do more commercial photography. Lots of household items and many industrial items. Also I do photos at at a TaeKwonDo school for their printed materials. During the summer and fall it's all about portrait photography. Senior photos, family photos, etc. I really enjoy being outside and taking photos.
