Shannon is awesome, super organized, and was super helpful the day of the wedding. She asked our opinion and listened to our ideas. She made sure that we got the pictures we wanted. She was very fun and easy to work with. She was more than a photographer on our wedding day, When I was thirsty she got me a soda, when I was about to freak out she told me it was gonna be okay, when my dress broke she got on the floor and fixed it. To whoever is reading this, you would be very lucky to have her photograph your special day. I promise you won't regret it.

I can’t even put into words how much I loved having Shannon Z Photography capture our wedding day. Having moved down to Wisconsin from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, honestly I was really skeptical of hiring a photographer. I went on Thumbtack.com and put a bid in for a photographer. I quickly received a response back from Shannon assuring me she could capture the pictures I wanted at a price I was comfortable with. I looked around for a little bit after getting the bid from Shannon but always came back to her. The pictures on her website were amazing, only worry of mine is if we could have such wonderful pictures. Being an overweight person, I am always critical about what I look like in pictures. Moving on to the wedding day, Shannon came to the church and checked in with my husband. She immediately went to work, capturing all the pictures on my list (it was a long list). I have to say I am so impressed with Shannon not only because of the beautiful pictures she took but also how she went up and beyond. When getting ready she told me the chalkboard for the memorial I wanted wasn’t displayed. I told her where it was located and she ran to get it to put it out. We had flowers for the guys to put on their suits and she put them on for them. During our lunch I was standing in front of a fan when she came over and lifted up my dress a little so air would go under all the layers of my wedding dress. During the whole celebration she asked my husband and I if there were any other picture I wanted to capture. I received a sneak peak of our pictures 4 days after our wedding and couldn’t have been happier. The creativity Shannon used was amazing. She even laid down in the sand at the beach in order to get the angle she wanted. Then a few days after that she had all the photos ready to view! We even received our USB with all pictures before we went on our honeymoon 2 weeks later. With so many photographers’ out there, you will not find a photographer that goes above and beyond like Shannon Z Photography does.

She was absolutely amazing! We had such limited time, and such limited options for pictures (because of our wedding timeline) and she made it all AMAZING! She was so easy going, and knew exactly how to make everything so beautiful with even just the simplest things! Love her to death! Here’s a few of our sneak peaks!!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to speak with them over the phone to find out more about what they're looking for in a photographer, as well as to let them know what I offer. If they are in need of a wedding photographer, and would like to meet in person, I am happy to do so. This is a great way for us to see if our personalities click and have some great back and forth conversation about the wedding day.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm always searching for new ideas and inspiration. I keep up on lighting techniques by taking on-line workshops and reading books & articles.
