FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Every business needs to have a starting point for pricing, so yes, I have a price that I will not be able to go below depending on where your event is taking place. I am not a heartless person who demands to be paid top dollar for my services, but I must stand up to represent the quality of service I provide to my clients. There are a lot of things that go on behind the scenes that you will never see - the planning, the testing of equipment, replacing broken items and travelling to meet with you that costs must be covered. If you find a professional who is offering the lowest price you've ever come across, be careful of that company as they may not use the most reliable equipment at your event. The last thing you need is for things to go wrong during your event and the company you hired has no backup plan.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My process is getting to know you as a person better. The #1 question I get from clients are "We aren't sure what we want yet, so what would you recommend?" This is your event, so I start the idea creating process for the clients - I want you to be comfortable with me being your provider, so I try everything I can to make this event as personalized as possible so at the end, you can say "I did this!!" I treat clients more like a friend than just another dollar in my bank account. This seems to put everyone at ease knowing that they are working with someone who has their best interests at heart.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Know more about the professional you are about to hire for your upcoming event - don't just book them sight unseen - meet with them to see who you will be working with to ensure they are a good fit for your specific event. Price - don't let price become a deciding factor in who you will hire - this is a common mistake being made by many wedding couples who max out their budgets on non-essentials. Be prepared to spend at LEAST $600-900 for a quality DJ service.
