FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? Pricing is based on a few key factors so that each project is priced fairly according to the work involved. Some of the main variables include how much footage needs to be reviewed, the length of the final video, the complexity of the edit, and the turnaround time. Certain projects may also require additional assets such as licensed music, royalty-free images or video clips, sound effects, graphics, or special visual effects. If these are needed and not provided by the client, they may be added to the project cost. If a project is straightforward and well-organized, the editing process is faster and more efficient. Providing organized footage and timestamps can help keep costs lower. My current editing rate is $100 per hour.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My simple 6 step process designed for organization and efficiency . 1 Project Discussion – We start with a quick conversation about your video’s goal, style, platform, and deadline. I’ll also ask a few basic questions about your footage, including the media format and which platform the video will be uploaded to, or if it is for personal use. 2 Footage Details – I’ll need to know how much footage will be sent. If possible, provide timestamps for the moments you want used. This ensures we reference the exact clips needed. 3 Footage & Asset Upload – You send your clips, graphics, music, logos, or references through a shared folder or file transfer. Clips need to be organized in the order you’d like them arranged, so your vision is told as needed. 4 Editing Process – Footage is organized according to your instructions and edited into a clean, engaging video with strong pacing, transitions, and balanced audio. 5 Review & Revisions – You review the first version and can request adjustments if needed. 6 Final Delivery – Once approved, I deliver the finished video formatted for your platform (social media, YouTube, website, etc.). This workflow helps ensure the editing process stays clear, efficient, and aligned with your vision.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My experience comes from years of hands-on work in video production, editing, and visual storytelling. I’ve worked with businesses, creators, and individuals to produce professional visual content, which has allowed me to develop strong skills in editing workflow, pacing, and storytelling. In addition to editing, my background as a photographer, videographer, and certified drone pilot has helped me understand how footage is captured and how to best shape it during the editing process. This practical experience allows me to approach every project with both technical knowledge and a storytelling mindset, ensuring the final video is polished, engaging, and aligned with the client’s vision.
