FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We strive to be as fair and competitive as possible regarding price, without hidden or surprise fees. Estimates and consultation are always free. Most of our submitted estimates follow the same structure: The prices provided are for labor only. Materials may be provided by the customer, or if purchased by the contractor, are billed with a 20% mark-up on the final invoice. Any time spent driving, sourcing, purchasing and delivering materials is billed at the rate of $50 per man-hour on the final invoice. Upon acceptance of a proposal, 50% payment of the estimated total is due and required prior to commencing the work. The remainder due is billed upon completion of labor and is due immediately.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Ideally, we will begin with a scheduled appointment at the job site to meet with the customer(s) and discuss the work requested in-person. A detailed estimate is then sent via email within 5 business days of viewing the job site. Scheduling options are discussed and if the customer wishes to accept the estimate, it (and any attachments) must be signed, dated and submitted with the down-payment.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
