Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: We are taking special precautions & actions to help stop the spread of COVID-19, and one of these is our offering of lessons online for local students who would normally attend lessons in person. We have a number of students who have chosen this option, and they have been very happy with the online experience taking lessons at the Milwaukee Music Academy. When you send a request for info, we can begin our conversation about how to explore the possibilities of studying here, and you can share with us if you prefer the online lessons option as a temporary situation for your lessons until the COVID-19 pandemic is over. Onward with my "normal" introduction... I have 30 years in the music industry, with thousands of gigs under my belt, performing at venues large and small, from NYC to Los Angeles. With this experience, I also help students who are interested in entering the music business with steps they can take at the stage they are in. I've helped my students land auditions for local bands, musical theatre productions, and college auditions. I am also currently working on the 10th original music CD of my career! With a truly unique teaching style, I am able to inspire my students towards reaching goals they previously thought they might never be able to reach! My focus is on both tried-and-true, and new, innovative techniques that WORK. I incorporate a technique-based approach, as I believe that if you have excellent technique, you can literally learn how to sing or play anything you'd like! This is extremely important for any instrument, including voice. But even more importantly, my #1 focus is on creating an empowering energy for my students to discover talents within themselves that they may not even be aware of! Thanks for checking out my profile! I hope you have a beautiful day!

From the very first lesson, Annie listened to my goals. She suggested alternative paths and even adapted her curriculum to fit how I learn. While I'm not on the Billboard Top Artist 100 charts (yet), Annie has helped me learn my instrument in ways I thought I couldn't. Within the first two months, I produced two songs that I am very proud of! Annie is a true musician who is deeply interested in your own path as a musician. While disciplined, she's anything but rigid. She is fun and one of the most positive people you'll meet.

Details: 26 - 44 years old • No formal training; some self-taught experience • No, cannot read music • Electric • Jazz • Yes, the student has an instrument • 60 minutes • At the pro’s location • My home, venue, etc.

Annie is teaching guitar to my elementary schooler. She brings real enthusiasm, patience, and great technique to the lessons. She's also great to work with in all the planning and scheduling.

Annie is the most fun, energetic, capable voice teacher! My voice has gotten so much stronger since working with her, we’ve cleaned up habitual singing tendencies with my voice that I was not aware or in control of before, and I’ve expanded both my upper and lower range! Annie is supportive, knowledgeable, creative, and consistent in her commitment to teaching and helping students grow.

Details: 18 - 25 years old • No, the student cannot read music • 0 - 2 yrs of formal training • Gospel • What the teacher recommends • 60 minutes • At the pro’s location

Annie B is an amazing teacher. I am an adult learning guitar for keeping my brain healthy and enjoyment purposes and she understands this and teaches me at this level. She is knowledgeable about all aspects of guitar and music in general and is approachable and kind when I need to ask questions. Annie Definitely deserves all the stars possible and more.

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

First, we offer different packages based on how many lessons per week you desire. The price per lesson will vary with the different packages we offer. If you take lessons once-per-week, your tuition is the "normal" rate. If you take lessons twice-a-week, the per-lesson tuition now goes down. (3x/week goes down even more!) Of course your monthly tuition goes up with more lessons per week, but the per-dollar VALUE you are getting increases. That's not only because you pay less per lesson, but the learning is COMPOUNDED, which makes your rate of progress MORE THAN twice the "regular" rate of progress if you're doing twice-a-week. To sum it up, more than once-a-week lessons is a DOUBLE-WHAMMY of VALUE! We also have many benefits to the way we have our lessons set up, such as (1) super-flexible scheduling, even week-to-week changes are easy for us to handle (2) Tuition is always the SAME amount, on the SAME DAY day every month, based on a 4-week month. This results in a free lesson (or a free 2 or 3 lessons if you're doing more than once-a-week) about once every 3 months! This is because sometimes there are not 4, but 5 Mondays in a month (or 5 Tuesdays, etc.). If there is a 5th "week" of lessons for you in any month, there is no extra charge for these lessons!

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

The first thing is to find out what are the new student's goals, and also what are their frustrations, so we create a plan to reach the goals, and eliminate the frustrations! We provide tools that will give our students results from DAY ONE. These tools may become more refined as the student progresses, and they may change as the student moves to different skill levels. Also, we have a lot of FUN while at the same time we are accomplishing real forward movement!

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I'm a member of an international group of elite music teachers called the Elite Guitar Teachers Inner Circle. This group started out as all guitar teachers in 2007, (thus, the name "Elite Guitar Teachers...") and since then, piano and voice teachers have joined this group of elite music teachers. I have been an active member of this elite group since 2018, and I have received special training in many areas of teaching music, musical creativity & soloing, songwriting, perfect practice, rapid results, and guitar mastery. As a current member of this group, I receive ongoing training every month to excel as an expert music teacher, delivering extraordinary results for my students! Also, we meet for an intensive 2 weeks of training every June for our annual series of events, which is a major push forward every year in our expertise as voice/guitar/piano teachers! Not many music teachers participate in a continuing education program for music teachers such as this one! In terms of my actual musical training, I studied keyboard & music theory for 5 years. I studied rock, blues, and jazz vocals with with Blue Note recording artist Jackie Allen, and I've had operatic training with international opera singer Leonora Morvaya. I've earned educational certifications in Total Guitar Mastery and Ultimate Creativity and Guitar Soloing Mastery. Also, I have a very special certification in teaching groups, which many private music teachers don't know how to do! Contrary to popular belief, learning in groups has many benefits that far outweigh the benefits of one-on-one lessons. The inspiration & support you will receive from your fellow students is just one of the many benefits you get in group lessons, but I would love to explain to you a lot more about these benefits, and how they will serve to accelerate and even super-charge your learning!
