Very unprofessional and unsafe plumbing work. Mr. Monk did a very poor job servicing my water heater. It had been in properly vented by a different plumber we found on Thumbtack and Mr. Monk was asked to correct the venting. He tried to convince me to replace the new heater and reluctantly made repairs as requested. After his repair, I realized we didn't have hot water. Mr. Monk didn't respond to my attempts to reach him and I ultimately called another plumber. In disbelief, I talked to three different plumbers who all agreed that Mr. Monk's actions were less than professional. Upon completing the venting, he was to ignite the heater and then test for carbon monoxide leaks....he did not. Fortunately, being out of cold water and Mr. Monk's failure to respond allowed me for find this life threatening error prior. When a third party was able to reach Mr. Monk, he became angry and hung up on me. I then found that the business, neither name he is doing business under, is listed with the Better Business Bureau for me to make a complaint. Proceed with caution as this "contractor" should be removed from Thumbtack.
