Introduction: Our work is exceptional because I try to make my clients feel comfortable in front of the camera. Before I take any photographs I try to find out what the client enjoys, what makes him or her happy, what makes them feel comfortable. Then I start taking pictures. If necessary I will take a lot of photos, and show some of them to the client just to give him or her an idea of what the camera is seeing, and how the lighting is enhancing that image. If it takes a little longer, I don't charge extra. I prefer to satisfy the client rather than the clock. Every person is unique, and everyone is beautiful. Of course, some people are more photogenic than others, but I try to bring out the best in everyone, and that is very rewarding.

I found Mr. Mangan's photos to be of an excellent quality; both with lighting angles, composition, design, and a profound strength of character which Mr. Mangan seemed to pull out of the subjects. He photographed our entire family and my son for his high school graduation. I am extremely satisfied with his ability. I highly recommend him, and will definitely use him again.

Richard Mangan Productions was engaged for our wedding and he was absolutely wonderful. He shot over 300 high quality images of the ceremony and the reception. Highly professional with attention to detail. He provided a disc and our problem is which ones to print for a book because there are so many good ones.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes! Seminars, web seminars, trade shows, books, how-to videos, etc. I also know and work with a lot of other photographers at certain busy times of the year, and we have meetings and brainstorm about the best equipment, poses, ideas, etc.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Ever since I was a child, and saw photographs in books and magazines, I thought it would be an exciting profession. And I still think so.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Don't always go for the lowest price. Go for the photographer who you think will make a great image of you, and is willing to take a little extra time to do it.
