FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attend DJ seminars and take online training courses to learn as much about the business as well as the technical aspects of the art of DJing (scratching, mixing, beat matching, etc). I also have a fairly large network of mentors who I share best practices with. It all comes down to throwing an event that your clients are more than satisfied with. You have to put in the effort in order to exceed expectations.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Be careful hiring someone for an important event just because they've quoted a cheap price. Be sure to investigate to know what you're getting for your money. You get what you pay for.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
I wish more people understood the hard work that goes into what we do. Most customers only see the party, but there is so much time and preparation that goes into our performance. From building and maintaining a solid music library to creating custom remixes and edits of songs to loading up/tearing down. There is a lot of behind the scenes effort that goes into making your event the best it can be.
