Introduction

We do our work so it looks proffesional. I only employ people who feel the same way. It's a tough market, so you have to do better than others. Of course, I've always felt that way, as then people will call you back on future projects, and will tell others, with confidence. The best thing about this kind of work is helping people accomplish the changes that they wish for. It's a great feeling to help someone who is nervous about getting what they want done. When their families and friends come over and say how nice it is, is truely rewarding.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am currently taking the course for lead abatement. It seems that there are quite a few people that are worried about it and I'd like to help them with that. I am always talking to other contracters, stores and such for all the information I can learn.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I helped my Dad remodel our house as I was growing up and really enjoyed making changes to buildings, or building them. I went to Texas in 1980 and started building homes and just loved it. Here I thought I would wind up in an office. I'm glad for how it has turned out.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Our most common types of work are general remodeling, changing a kitchen, or bathroom kind of thing. We also build quite a few decks, or fix them up. Replacement windows are pretty big in the last couple of years.
