FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
While I was in college, I realized the beasts that Photoshop, Illustrator & InDesign were and while I took introductory classes to them I knew that it was hardly the chip of the ice burg beast that they were. So I started working on online tutorials to learn more of the ins and outs of the programs. I'm constantly learning about these programs and their capabilities. I also read a multitude of blogs and magazines that discuss developments within the graphic design world.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I remember being fairly young, coloring on the floor like I always had growing up. A few of my parents friends were visiting and one of them asked me if I was going to be an artist when I grew up. My young little mind was blown that I could art as a job. I couldn't believe that people got paid to do what I loved so much. I concentrated heavily in art all through high school and then onto college. I will always remember that child, excited about the possibility of making a living out of something I loved so much.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Forms aren't usually what people think of when they think graphic design. But forms are challenging and meticulous, almost a nightmare at times for designers. I usually enjoy the challenge and it's a nice break from the more "creative" ends of graphic design such as logos or posters.
