FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Continuing Education is a must to maintain my licensing. Asbestos training,Lead training and Code updates are just a few of the things we need to operate a legitimate business. New contracting methods are coming available all of the time, from hidden deck fasteners to new building materials. We try to keep actively involved in all aspects of construction practice.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I got into this line of work because after operating my mechanical business, I found that there was a need for honest quality General Contractors. We got our first request when we were doing all of the mechanical work for a Rainbow chain. The general contractor had taken the deposit and closed shop. The owner of the building knew we were already doing most of the work and asked me if I could get the whole building done. We only needed a drywall contractor and a carpenter to complete the project on our own. We hired a carpenter and found a great drywall contractor. we finished the job on schedule and the customer was extremely happy. From that point on we maintained the ability to complete entire projects from the ground up.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Basement remodels are one of the biggest things going on as of lately. Zoned heating, private baths and second fire exits are just a few of the things a customer get by converting the normally wasted space.
