- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First and foremost is the initial consultation. This is a time to meet any potential new client face to face. Designing is a process, and designing someone's personal space requires getting to know them a little bit and to learn their likes\dislikes, must haves and must not haves. It's also a chance for both parties to determine if there is the potential for a positive working relationship. This is still the case even if the client may already know what he\she wants. Next is seeing the space and taking measurements. Every house is unique and has its own challenges and advantages. So it's important to know exactly what I'm starting with in order to offer some inital ideas for this space. Once I have the measurements and an initial understanding of what is expected for the space, I work on putting an estimate together. This can take anywhere from 24 hours to two (2) weeks depending on the size and scope of the job.
