FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Over the years, I've developed and determined the most effective process for estimating the amount of time and expense that goes into labor and material for specified tasks. I calculate labor and material costs based directly upon what the client desires in the project, thus, there is no "standard." I always *recommend that my customers have scraping, sanding, and priming done on a new project.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Whenever I interact with a new customer, I always have an "initial call" in order to acquire important information regarding the project. For example, I ask about colors, specific trouble areas, the timeline, and how the estimate takes place. I also schedule the estimate with the client so that I can come out and determine, in detail, what is being done on the project. Note: If you have a professional giving an estimate without ever going over the actual project on site, you shold be questioning the quality standards. Everyone loves low prices, but this will often lead to cutting corners. During the estimate. I determine the needs and desires for the customer, and then I determine what material and labor will be required. After the client is confident with my business and the estimate, we take twenty five percent of the payment, we move forward to determining colors, and we set an approximate start date. After the job is finished, the customer does a thorough "walk around" to ensure that they are satisfied with the work. We don't leave until it is up to the customer's standards of satisfaction. Once the customer is satisfied, we are paid the final seventy five percent, and we get out of your hair as quickly as possible.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have several years of painting, general contracting, and project management experience. I was trained by a man that has a keen eye for perfectionism in his line of work. My father taught me the difference between "cutting corners," and delivering premium quality work. I have several years of experience in customer service, as well.
