Introduction: I don't believe in "one size fits all" training. The workouts I choose for you are based on your specific needs, body type, and capabilities. Lets face it we are all built differently and I can't prescribe the same workout routine for a 70 year old woman and a 26 year old man. With me you wont get fitness fads or cookie cutter exercises. I use real exercises to get the real results you want. Fitness is an essential part of my life. When I first began incorporating workouts into my daily routine, I instantly fell in love with the way I felt. Even though I have never been the fastest or strongest guy, at the end of a good training session I feel unstoppable. I believe that what you do in one aspect of your life will carry over into the rest of your life. Taking care of yourself physically will completely transform the way you live. My life is more fulfilling because of fitness, and sharing my passion with others to help them live to their best potential is the most enjoyable thing I can think of doing.

As a personal trainer myself, I am very particular about who puts me through workouts. Glen is extremely knowledgable and his training style is motivating and positive. He carefully selects exercises based on my goal (to build muscle and strength) and always keeps me working hard. I also appreciate the time he takes to make sure my workouts work for me - he takes time to correct form and make sure every exercise is performed without pain or discomfort. Whether your fitness goal is to gain or lose, I highly recommend Glen as a trainer.

I hired Glen Hayes as a personal trainer. He is professional and knowledgeable!! He is challenging me and holding me accountable!! He takes into consideration any limitations I may have physically but pushes me so that I can achieve my goals.   • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    First, I perform an initial fitness and body composition assessment. Once we determine your starting point, we can discuss goals that are measureable and attainable within a certain timeframe. We'll discuss any health concerns or injuries you might have, so I can move forward with your training in the most effective and safe way possible. Even in a client who has training experience, I'll always put an emphasis on proper form and usually take a session or two in the beginning to further assess a new client's natural movement patterns.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    I received my training and certification through the National Personal Training Institute of Ohio (NPTI). NPTI is a 600-hour program, equivalent to a Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science. The certification program consists of both lecture and practical application. Learning objectives include anatomy and physiology, nutrition, exercise programming and fitness assessments.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

    I have a passion for fitness and strongly believe that living a healthy life has everything to do with exercise and eating well. Before I began working out regularly, my diet and motivation were lacking, and I wasn't in very good shape. Once I decided to make some serious lifestyle changes, I discovered my love for fitness. Now, I want to share it with people to help them achieve greatness and live their best lives!
