FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The pricing really depends upon what the customer wants. I have a product as low as $999 on up, depending upon how many pages and features the client wants. The higher end services include things such as periodical blogs, social media posts, etc. I do every aspect of building the website (images, copywriting, layout), and because of that I can manage costs and can offer a 'flat fee'.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to sit down with the customer and see what their expectations are. Sometimes it's a great fit, sometimes another service may be better suited for their needs. I like to make sure the customer has a authentic idea of what my product is, so that there aren't any surprises other than good surprises.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I had been a Realtor for many years and had to do my own marketing on each listing, as well as market myself. I started by creating my own website for my business. Seeing the site I had built for myself I was then was asked by local politicians to create their campaign websites. It really took off from there. The biggest 'take away' is that my experience in marketing coupled with the knowledge that I have to create an appealing website combines two skills one of which is usually lacking in most other websites. In addition to that, I write both fiction, and copy specifically for the web visitor (nobody wants to read Shakespeare on any informative site) which makes for an engaged reader. That first 9 seconds has to capture your potential client, not bore them.
