If I could have chosen no stars, then I would have. For anyone using Lexie Mcrae as your photographer, make sure that your contract specifically lists the times you are requesting her services, how much that specific time will cost, and how much additional time will cost. When we booked with her in February she was running a special and stated that my "whole day" would be $595, bridals day of would be FREE and $50 was paid as a deposit that would be applied to my total. I texted her two weeks prior to my wedding, trying to go over details of when we expected her on site. She brushed me off, stating she would be in touch with me as the day got closer. She texted me three days prior to the wedding with the times she would be on site, which were times that she came up with and did not coincide with the times we sent to our guests on our invitations. I texted back clarifying the times we actually needed her on site. I did not receive a response. I had to text her again the day before my wedding to make sure that we were both on the same page and requesting that she come early to take photos of the bridal party getting ready. She then told me that it would be $385 per extra hour, which was never discussed previously, due to the fact that our arrangement was $595 for the "whole day". At this point she would only take photos for a total of 3-4 hours, which wouldn't cover the standard wedding day events that I wanted to document: the bridal party getting ready, the ceremony, post-ceremony family photos, and my reception. Nor did it include the time for my bridals to be taken, which she promised to take the day of. Needless to say, at this point, I was extremely frustrated, and ended up cancelling her services. She then sent me an EXTREMELY unprofessional and disrespectful text, where she proceeded to call me a cheap-a**, and tell me that my photos were going to turn out terrible, and that we ought to use something better than an iPhone, etc. Because of her lack of communication and disrespectful behavior, it led to unnecessary stress and scrambling on my part. Luckily, I have a wonderful family and support group that came together and made magic happen, and my photos turned out beautifully. However, I know that not everyone has that. Maybe I am a "cheap-a**", but I will not be ashamed of the fact that I had a budget that I needed to stick to. I also did not set her pricing. Lexie McRae, I am grateful that you showed your true colors before-hand, so that I did not have a negative experience on my special day.
