FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
It varies depending on what kind of event, what date, and how many kids, but I usually keep it at $50/hour for stencil facepainting and small cheek art, and $75/hr for full face masks, gem clusters, free hand designs, and personalized designs. I charge $100 for large events like corporate events, festivals, and fairs. My prices are very low compared to competitors and I do not charge for travel. I do ask that a table and two chairs be provided for set up, but I can bring my own for $15. I also try to offer lower prices based on clients budget, especially for non-profits and fundraising/charity events.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Showing samples of my work, or creating samples that fit the customers specific theme if I do not already have any. Then I make sure that I get all the details of the event including time, location, # of kids, and contact info, then several days prior to the event, I usually reconfirm the details with the customer.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been face painting for several years now, and have worked with Strictly Fun, Blast Entertainment, and Clowning Around and Celebration Authority as a face painter. I am currently majoring in Graphic Design at the Illinois Institute of Art.
