- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attended Austin Community College-Culinary Arts. But, I truly believe I learned everything I know from on the job training especially while living in Chicago and working for highly regarded chefs and restaurants.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've loved food as long as I can remember. I remember cooking with my grandmother when I was young, but my mother hated cooking. She made things like Skillet Sensations & my favorite macaroni and cheese with cut up hot dog. I remember thinking to myself, "food has to be better then this". So I started experimenting. Gained my first line cook position in a restaurant during college and the rest is history. Thanks mom💚
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I am currently the chef of a small snack menu at The Collective Brewery Project in Fort Worth. This is an on going weekly menu that changes seasonally with local ingredients I find available at farmers markets.
