FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We offer a new client discount for all new clients. Our pricing is flat fee, so you know the price before you complete a tax return. All fees include eFile. The pricing list posted is our base price; the actual cost will depend upon complexity (for example, a person with 25 stock trades will pay a different fee than one with 5 or less).
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
If available, we like for you to upload your prior year tax return when you initially tell us a little about your tax situation to see the complexity of the return (some clients say their return isn't complex but when we view it we find they have multiple income properties, several stock trades, extensive charitable contributions, etc.). We send a questionnaire back to be completed along with a request for documents which you can securely upload to our server (for most documents, it's easiest to snap a photo and upload). We work on your return and then send to you for review along with the invoice. Once you approve and sign your return (you're able to download/save a pdf copy immediately) as well as pay your invoice, we will eFile your tax return. Once it has been accepted at the state and federal level (typically no later than 2 business days), we will forward an confirmation receipt for your records.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
With licenses in TX and VA, the Owner, Miranda Carter, completes at least 40 hours of continuing education each year to maintain her licenses. The firm, Miracaza Consulting LLC, is licensed in the state of VA.
