Introduction: Thank you so very kindly for taking the time to read about my business. I hope to get the opportunity to guide you in Yoga. My name is Skylar Cannon. My business, Sky Yoga, is unique and special because I studied yoga where it originated from in India. I bring a fundamental approach to yoga, focusing on building a strong foundation using simple postures and focusing on the breath. I will share with you the power of connecting movement with the breath to help bring harmony to the body and mind. I specialize in Hatha Yoga, which is the most authentic ancient style. However, I can teach any style to meet the needs of my client. Whether you are looking to build muscle, stretch, relax, decompress, take care of yourself, breathe, gain emotional intelligence or get to know your body, I am here to assist in your discovery and provide ambiance and guidance for your Yoga experience. My education is 500 hours of Yoga teacher training certified by Yoga alliance. I studied yoga in Rishikesh, India, the Yoga capital of the world. I strive to have open communication with my client and set clear goals. Each client will have unique individual needs.

FAQs

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have 500 hours of yoga teacher training, certified by Yoga Alliance, in Hatha Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga and Meditation. I studied in Rishikesh, India, the Yoga capitol of the world.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I have always been an athlete and passionate about maintaining my well-being through a healthy lifestyle. After high school I began searching for a new path outside of sports and I found Yoga. Yoga taught me to be strong, but in a new way. I became less competitive and intense, and more soft and elegantly strong. Yoga feels like a combination of dance, exercise, relaxation and cleansing- which is the perfect concoction for me when it comes to movement. I also gained emotional intelligence through the hours of being on my mat and getting to know my mind and body more intimately. Yoga is a great way to discover yourself and find release, by making time for yourself to focus on YOU.
