FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
As a highly experienced writer, I charge $65 per hour, which is at the affordable end of that price bracket. However, I'd prefer to discuss a project (see my answer to the last question in this section) and settle on a package price: for example, $200 for a 1200-word article or $1,200 for a three-minute video. This ensures that payment is based on a finished product, not time on a clock. Although offering no discounts, I will consider economies of scale for larger or more long-term projects.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Again, see my answer to the last question in this section.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Since high school and my first job in radio, I wanted to be a broadcaster. That goal was pursued through undergraduate study at Iowa State University, earning a master’s degree from the Boston University College of Communication, and early jobs at both WGBH in Boston and NBC in New York.
