- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Six pre-marital counseling sessions are provided at $60.00 per session. Wedding officiating is provided for $200.00.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I meet with the couple for an initial assessment to hear what you hope to accomplish and to allow you to make sure I am a good match for you. If we decide to work together, we will continue with five more sessions covering decision making, extended family relationships, economic life, mutual emotional support, and spiritual/cultural life together in marriage. We will also decide and plan exactly what type of ceremony you want whether it will be a traditional Christian ceremony, an Afrocentric cultural ceremony or a combination. I am also open to working with couples who have no specific religious tradition that they wish to draw from.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a licensed marriage and family therapist with a Masters Degree in MFT and a Ph.D. In family studies. I am also an Ordained Elder in my Church denomination authorized to perform wedding ceremonies for the past 25 years.
